The last Sunday of March was the annual Board Member retreat that we held for the first time at the Albany Regional Museum. Council staff along with nine of our eleven board members were able to attend this jam-packed day of discussion and presentations.

One of the day’s highlights was the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion presentation by Education Project Manager Kristen Daly. Kristen shared her experiences and learning on the important issue of serving and learning from all members of our community, not just those we are familiar with or are easiest to reach.

The board and staff all learned a lot and we look forward to learning even more as we reach out and listen to under-served or represented members of our community.
