Photos show logs have been staged for our large woody debris (LWD) project on the Brush Creek tributaries of the Calapooia River in 2013. This project placed over 250 logs into critical spawning areas for winter steelhead and spring Chinook salmon. Log jams were constructed in Brush Creek, West Brush Creek, and Childers Creek. See below for photos of Steve and Grahm Trask of Bio-Surveys LLC as they installed these logs and create new refugia for salmon, steelhead, trout, and other species in the Calapooia Basin.
