Calapooia Watershed Council

Working to Improve the health of the watershed

Our Education Program working with local elementary schools and Benton Soil and Water Conservation District (our partners in Salmon Watch) organized this community event for Spanish speaking first students!

“Last night the Calapooia Watershed Council participated in a STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts, Mathematics) Bilingual Family night hosted by Lincoln Elementary School in Corvallis. As a Spanish speaking first event, students engaged with our bilingual volunteers in learning how science and art can come together by creating their own nature art piece. We would like to thank our bilingual volunteers from Lincoln Elementary Stacey and Charla as well as Heath Kierstead of the Benton Soil and Water Conservation District who organized this fun learning event!”
